Dr Yingchi Chu

Dr Yingchi Chu is Senior Lecturer in Media Studies and Murdoch Business School.  Her research fields are Chinese media, Documentary films, media and citizenship, media and ethnicity, and Hong Kong cinema . Dr Chu is the author of Hong Kong Cinema: Colonizer, Motherland and Self (RoutledgeCurzon 2003) and Chinese Documentaries: From Dogma to Polyphony (Routledge, 2007). She has also contributed chapters to Media in China (ed. S. Donald and M. Kean, 2002) and Political Communications in Greater China (ed. Rawnsley and Rawnsley, 2002). Dr Chu maintains research links with a number of Chinese research institutions.
