Associate Professor Terence Lee

Dr Terence Lee is an Associate Professor, Deputy Dean and Academic Chair of Communication and Media Studies in the School of Media Communication & Culture at Murdoch University, Western Australia. He is also a Research Fellow of the Asia Research Centre based at Murdoch. He is an expert on media, culture and politics in Singapore, having published numerous books, articles and chapters on Singapore. He also writes and researches on Asia and the Asia-Pacific more broadly. He has an industry background in media and media policy, especially in relation to digital television and the Internet policy, having worked as a journalist and policy executive in Singapore during the 1990s. He is the author of The Media, Cultural Control and Government in Singapore (Routledge, 2010) and co-editor of Political Regimes and the Media in Asia (with Professor Krishna Sen, UWA – Routledge, 2008 and 2009).
