Dr Kay GillisBA Hons. (Deakin), Master in Economic Development (Deakin), PhD (Murdoch) Kay is a political scientist specialising in the history and politics of Singapore. Her doctoral thesis traced the development of civil society in Singapore throughout the colonial and post-Independence period. Kay works as a consultant in Singapore, and has worked on projects dealing with colonial administration and prominent business personalities from 1819 to 1965. She is currently working on a project being coordinated by the Queensland University of Technology, “Paths Not Taken: False Spring of Political Pluralism in Postwar Singapore”.
