Lee
BA Hons (Murdoch), Ph.D. (Murdoch)
Before he joined the School of Management, Edith Cowan University, Dr
Lee was a research fellow at the Institute for Research into International
Competitiveness located at Curtin Business School, Curtin University of
Technology. You-il was also involved with teaching and research at Murdoch
University, Western Australia on a wide range of issues regarding the
International Business and political economy of Asia-Pacific and Southeast
Asian Region. You-il holds a Doctorate in Politics, specializing in Asian
Politics and Business from the Asia Research Centre at Murdoch University.
He has authored numerous articles in international refereed journals and
magazines including Journal of Contemporary Asia, Asian Perspective,
Asian Academy of Management Journal and Management Decision.
Dr Lee is the co-author of Strategic Business Development in South
Korea: A Post-IMF Crisis Perspective published by London Financial
Times (March 1998). This book assesses the changing business environment
triggered by the IMF rescue package and provides an understanding of socio-political
and economic aspects of the Korean business culture. You-il is also the
author of From Evolution to Revolution: Korea's New Market Environment
(Ashgate 2003).
You-il's current teaching and research focus on comparative international
business of the region with a focus on the business practice/culture,
management and market development strategies and the political economy
of foreign investment in the Asia-Pacific region.
