Margaret McDonald

Margaret McDonald is an economist, gender analyst and independent consultant. She has over sixteen years of economic analysis and development experience with expertise in Asia. Margaret has completed assignments for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the United Nations Development Program and the World Bank. These assignments have included providing advice on country strategies, policy analysis, gender equity, poverty alleviation, technology transfer, information technology and labour market analysis. Margaret has broad experience in project feasibility, design and implementation and in project monitoring and evaluation. She has completed over thirty missions in the areas of economic analysis, institutional capacity building, gender analysis and financial management; and was resident project manager for two CIDA projects in Vietnam and authored a country strategy paper for the ADB on women in Vietnam.
