Dr Wanning SunMA(SISU), MA (Canb),PhD (UWS) Wanning SUN is a Senior Lecturer in media and communication at Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia. She will take up a Visiting Professorship at State University of New York (Binghamton) from August 2005 to May 2006. She will be participating in the activities of Asian and Asian American Studies Program at the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, and the Global Studies Program in the University. She is the Chief Investigator for an ARC Discovery Grant funded project 'Maid in China: Gendered Mobilities, Internal Migration and Transnational Imagination' (2004-2006) She is the author of Leaving China: Media, Migration and Transnational Imagination (Rowman & Littlefield, 2002). She is currently editing a volume Media and Chinese Diaspora: Communication, Commerce and Community in Asia-Pacfic (Under contract with RoutledgeCurzon) School of Media and Information, Curtin University.
